Launched in April 2002, C-TPAT started
by a joint
government-business initiative to built cooperative
relationships to ensure that
proper security procedures are in place to protect the
flow of global trade. Through C-TPAT, U.S. Customs has
joined with the owners of the supply chain, importers,
carriers, brokers, warehousemen and manufacturers, to
provide the highest level of security while facilitating
the movement of goods entering the United States. |
