What is ITMS ? |

ITMS stands for Integrated Textile Maquila Services. ITMS is a
"Full Package" logistical service that focuses on the
specific needs of companies dealing with the apparel industry in
Mexico. It is a tailored service for textile and apparel
manufacturers with Pitex or Maquila permits in Mexico. Over the
past 10 years we have acquired a high degree of specialization
and experience on this types of operations in Mexico. The
customs clearance operation of the Maquila Apparel and textile
industry in Mexico is very unique, and to some extent, different
from the clearance operation of other industries in Mexico. The
correct procedures in customs clearance, the correct elaboration
of export documents, and a good administration of their Maquila
or Pitex government program, are vital for a problem-free
operation in Mexico. |

This tailored service for the apparel industry starts with the
verification of all paperwork issued by the U.S. shipper. It
then moves on to the verification and identification of the
material being shipped. Every little aspect is taken into
consideration; the types, quantities, weights, and hts's of the
materials being handled. This second step sometime requires
unloading the trailers being shipped into Mexico at our facility
in Laredo, Tx. Once all this information is gathered, it is
processed by our staff of professionals and becomes ready to
ship into Mexico. This service ends with the prompt delivery to
its final destination. The customs clearance process normally
takes less than 24 hs, and in most cases the trailers clear
customs the same day they arrive to Laredo, Tx. for southbound
shipments or Nvo. Laredo, Tamps. for northbound
shipments. |

Our high volume of apparel industry operations has made us aware
